She finished her Internal Medicine residency from Interfaith Medical Center, Brooklyn, New York. She has been in practice for more than 12 years. Dr. Vas is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Obesity Medicine. Dr. Vas has trained more than 300 physicians and is also one of the few physicians nationwide that are certified by the American Board of Obesity Medicine.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dr. Vas strongly believes in the concept of self-care. She empowers her patients to make the right choices and provides them guidance and support in their journey towards a healthy life. She also involves her patients in decisions on the management of their illness, thus prescribing a unique treatment plan for each of her patients. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dr. Vas is able to help you from the simplest of health problems to the most challenging ones. She is your neighborhood doctor that is always available, has all the time for you, and treats you with respect and dignity. Her areas of interest are preventive care, management of chronic diseases, acute illness and obesity medicine.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Obesity is a chronic disease. One-third of Americans are affected by it. Losing even 10% of the excess weight is associated with significant health benefits. Dr. Vas will use a multidisciplinary approach to help you lose weight.
